![]() It is revealed that Jane, possibly due to the linking of the ritual of soul transference to the Lords in Black or due to Jane being trapped as a car for a year and a half, has becoming murderous. The two drive around Hatchetfield looking at people, especially women. Jane scolds Tom for seemingly wanting to sell the Mustang and to make it up to her Tom takes the car for a drive. Jane later reveals herself to Tom as a car much to his surprise. ![]() The story opens with Tom getting back his old mustang after it was finally repaired by Tony Green. This caused Jane's soul to be transferred to the car. The tape was a reading of the black book from one of Jane's clients and when the car crash happened, they were listening to a ritual of soul transference. Set a year and a half after her supposed death the story tells of how Jane's soul was transferred to the car in which she 'died' as a result of the tape they were listening to. Jane makes her first appearance in the Nightmare Time episode Jane's A Car. Jane is mentioned many times in the show such as Tom telling Becky how he blames himself for Jane's death and at the end Tom and Emma agree to sit down and actually talk about Jane. In Black Friday, Jane's death is one of the main motivations for Tom Houston getting the Wiggly doll. Emma then goes on to talk about how her sister's death affected her as it caused her to return to Hatchetfield and enroll in community college. She describes how Jane had a Lisa Franks journal when she was little and how she stuck to it bullet point by bullet point getting a car, a house, a husband and kids. Emma describes Jane as 'the good one' telling Paul about how she always lived in her sister's shadow. Jane is mentioned in The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals by Emma. After leaving Tom's parents' house on December 24, 2017, Tom, Jane and their son Tim were involved in a car crash after pulling out into a crossroad while another car was coming.
